Renowned Nollywood actor, Pete Edochie, has been bestowed with a double honorary doctorate degree and a lifetime achievement award by ISTM University, Togo.
The distinguished actor received these accolades at the age of 76.
ISTM University, Togo, paid tribute to Edochie’s significant contributions to the creative industry and his impact on the world of entertainment.
In a video that surfaced online, representatives from the international university visited the actor at his home to personally present the awards.
The awards included a Doctorate in Literature, a Doctorate in Arts, and a lifetime achievement award.
As Edochie received the honors, one of the university’s representatives said;
“For all the works he has been doing, and he has been the pioneer in everything that all the younger ones are copying.”

In other news, During the interview with Chude, the veteran Nollywood icon, Pete Edochie was asked about his decision not to take a second wife.
In response, he explained that he had no need for another wife because his current wife had already blessed him with five sons.
He saw no reason to seek a second wife when his first wife had fulfilled his desires for children.
While he personally did not feel the need for polygamy, he stated that he wouldn’t condemn it, as people have their reasons for their choices.
The movie star also cited an example using a story about a man whose wife denied him sex which caused him to marry a 2nd wife.
