The Chicago State University (CSU) has locked its official X account amid bombardment over the academic records of President Bola Tinubu.
The ‘protect your posts’ feature on X allows users to conceal their contents from persons who are not followers.
CSU’s decision comes on the heels of a barrage of criticisms from Nigerians over the non-release of Tinubu’s academic records.
Tinubu’s credentials show that he graduated from CSU in 1979 with a bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting and management.
However, there have been allegations bordering on discrepancies with Tinubu’s certificate.
Recently, Atiku Abubakar, presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), approached a US court for the northern district of Illinois in Chicago, for an order compelling CSU to release the academic records of Tinubu.
The president, through his counsel, had filed a counter application opposing the request for the release of his academic records.
Responding to Atiku’s application, CSU said it will release Tinubu’s records if a US court grants the order.
Amid the legal disputes, many Nigerians took to social media platforms to accuse the US university of conniving with Tinubu to conceal the records.
See a few reactions below.

Chicago State University @ChicagoState has locked their Twitter account. They removed the 1979 yearbook from their archive. I wonder what they are hiding?
Nigerians are camping on their page. 😂😂

CHICAGO STATE UNIVERSITY AS AN ACCOMPLICE TO FRAUD: Bola said he graduated from CSU in 1979. Suddenly, the 1979 yearbook has disappeared from the CSU website. This means CSU is concealing a fraud so that they can partake in eating “THE FORBIDEN FRUIT.” Well, Fraud is Time bound pic.twitter.com/QIyd0YekRi

The Chicago State University is trying to hide something.
I would understand if a Nigerian University is acting this funny but not an American University.
What’s in it for them?
