Some Nigerian youths have reacted to reopening the Lekki toll gate plans, promising a fresh protest at the plaza.
The youths have taken social media to trend #RevolutionNow and #OccupyLekkiTollGate with the matter making trends s number one and three on the microblogging site, Twitter.
In the early hours of the day, some youths have shared displayed placards and banners, creating awareness that another protest is looming.
Some of the placards have the inscription ”No justice, no reopening”, and ”Occupy Lekki tollgate”.
This is coming after the Lagos State Panel of Inquiry investigating #EndSARS protesters’ alleged massacre by soldiers at the Lekki toll gate approved the repossession and reopening of the plaza by the Lagos Concession Company.
Dissecting the directive, four of the members have objected to the plaza’s reopening, saying until the panel finishes her job, the toll gate must remain shut.
One of the campaigners during the #EndSARS protest, Omoyele Sowore, tweeted, “No to the reopening of #Lekkitollgate, the perpetrators of #LekkiMassacre must be brought to book.”
While Dr. Chuks 2AhanekuChuks employed those planning to begin afresh protest to strategize and move with togetherness.
“Now we move with strategies and togetherness; it is time you showed what you have got for the government.
“We have given them much time, but they took our silent night for granted, not knowing that we are putting heads together to study how to bring peace to the new generation.”
