The remaining 23 Abuja-Kaduna train victims are still in the kidnappers’ den eight months after their abduction.

DAILY POST reports that terrorists had in March, 2022, attacked Abuja-Kaduna train, abducted over 60 passengers, killed 14 and injured several others.

The terrorists had demanded for the release of their comrades in several detention centres across the country before the victims could be released.

However, after the fulfilment of some of the conditions by the federal government, there was a new twist by the terrorists.

Ransom was being paid for the release of some of the victims.

The lead negotiator, Mamu, was later arrested and is being held by the DSS.

Since his arrest, a female relative of one of the victims, Mrs. Rose Maduka, told DAILY POST that nothing had been heard about her loved one.

“We are mourning everyday. There is no word any longer from the abductors,” she lamented.

The Federal Government has consistently promised to put more efforts in freeing the victims, but nothing has come out of it so far.
