Mark 15:16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.
There was once a rich and powerful king who had children whom he loved a lot.
One day, a criminal came and kidnapped all his children, leaving only the first one. He was too strong to seize.
The kidnapper said he would never let them go, until an impossible ransom was paid.
After discovering that the situation was very serious, the king sent his strongest, remaining son to take the very large ransom to the kidnappers.
The kidnappers took the ransom, but the children had been in captivity for so long that they were slow to escape, and the kidnapper caught them again and locked them up.
The king was heartbroken.
After that, he started paying out money to his subjects to go and help his kids escape.
Because they knew that he was very rich, so many people wanted to help out. However, so many would come and apply for resources for the mission from the king. When they got it, they would spend it on themselves instead of going to help the King’s children.
However, some who loved the King so much would go out and set some of the King’s children free, before they even got paid anything.
Interesting story, right?
Well, it is a very true story, and it’s happening right now.
The King represents God the Father. His Son has already paid the great price of His blood to set His children free, but the kidnapper (the devil) has still held on to them. Now the King is giving out blessings and resources if we go out, do the great commission, spread the Gospel out of love for Him, and get His children set free from the bondage of the evil one.
However, just like in the story, there are two types of people in the church or Kingdom of God. One type don’t love God so much. They are just in the kingdom in order to receive blessings from the King.
The second type go out and start preaching to God’s children even without getting so blessed, simply because they love the Lord, not for what they would gain.
Mark 16:15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.
This verse is not just for pastors. It is for every single Christian. It’s not just a special group of people that should be doing it. It’s for every single one of us, Praise God.
God’s heart is breaking because of all the lost souls in the world…
So what type of Christian are you? Are you in the Kingdom of God mainly because you want the King’s blessings, or mainly because you love God, and you can do anything for Him?
Think and pray about it.
Note: You can simply share the Gospel by sharing this devotional whenever you see it.
God bless you.

MORE LIGHT (MEDITATE ON, AND PRAY WITH THESE)
Mt 6:31-33 Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
