Boat carrying 100 passengers capsizes in Nigervanguardngr.com

The remains of the Nollywood make-up Artist,  late Ms Abigail Edith Frederick who died alongside popular actor, Junior Pope and three others in a boat accident last week has been laid to rest in her hometown, Ikot Udoma, in Eket Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State.

Late Abigail Frederick, a graduate of Theater Arts University of Uyo (UNIUYO) was buried in her family compound on Monday.

The state governor, Pastor Umo Eno had during the weekend directed that her body be exhumed and brought home for proper and decent burial.

Her obsequies were conducted by Church of Christ, Ikot Udoma, Eket local government area.

Recall that Governor Eno had on Saturday, 13th April 2024, visited her family to console  them over the demise of the 24-year-old make-up artist, where he directed that her remains be exhumed and returned to her home for proper burial.

Eno had also promised  assistance to her two undergraduate sisters, and approved the remodeling of deceased family house in Eket.

Eno during the condolence visit offered automatic employment to the deceased elder sister in the state civil service and directed that their home be renovated.

He had also promised that  siblings in the university will be supported by Government and helping hands extended to the parents.

Boat mishap:

It was gathered that  all the Personal Assistants to the Governor, on Entertainment, led by one “Utang Akwa Ibom” were on ground at Asaba on Sunday where her remains were exhumed and later brought home for burial.
