Kogi prince, Malik Ado-Ibrahim has called out politicians pictured celebrating at a wedding while the burial of Chief of Army Staff, Lt. General Ibrahim Attahiru and 10 military officers was ongoing on Saturday.

Lt General Attahiru and 10 other military officers had died in an air crash on Friday while on their way to an official assignment in Kaduna.

The dead soldiers were buried on Saturday in Abuja at the military cemetery.

It was reported that Buhari and Osinbajo were conspicuously absent at the burial of the late COAS and other officers.

Many other politicians were absent at the funeral but graced the wedding fatiha of Habibur Abubakar Malami, son of Justice and Attorney-General, in Kano which held the same day.

The Deputy Senate President, Ovie Omo-Agege, the Governors of Sokoto, Kano, Kebbi, Zamfara and Gombe States, as well as other Senators, were among the high profile politicians who graced the wedding.

But Prince Ado-Ibrahim who condemned their alleged disrespect to the dead soldiers in a post on his Instagram account called out the political leaders for not attending the burial of the military officers but chose to attend a wedding and merry.

His post read,

Quote
“Optics count in Politics and leadership. We see Misplaced priorities of those that were chosen as leaders at a time of war and a pandemic.

“They prefer a show of power and pleasure over patriotism and prayer on this day.

“The nation is watching. The people will have the last laugh. While the Nation is in shock at yesterday’s horrible deaths of our brave military men and while we are praying for our fallen heroes, some allowed themselves to be pictured as they were celebrating, he wrote.

“Where did we go wrong. We need to Reset Nigeria. God bless Nigeria,” he wrote.
